RTP Environmental Associates, Inc. (RTP) will once again host its EGU Strategies information session prior to the EPRI CEMS User Group Meeting (CEMUG) in Atlanta, GA. The EGU Strategies session is designed to assist utilities in evaluating the impact of recent regulatory changes on current and future compliance, monitoring and reporting strategies.
RTP will provide insights and analysis based on our 75+ combined years serving the utility industry as employees, stack testers, consultants and advisors. A detailed course agenda will be provided by email and on this registration page as rules and guidance are published in the coming months.
RegulationsAs air regulations are proposed, finalized and/or stayed, RTP will be prepared to discuss the impact of recent regulatory actions on EGUs nationwide and regionally including: The New Source Performance Standards for Stationary Combustion Turbines (NSPS GG, KKKK, and KKKKa - Proposed Rules), The National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Stationary Combustion Turbines (MACT YYYY - Pending proposal), The Federal ‘Good Neighbor Plan’ for the 2015 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (Good Neighbor FIP - Final Rule, Subsequent Proposals, and Stays), The Mercury and Air Toxics Standards Residual Risk and Technology Review Rule (MATS RTR Final Rule), and The Power Sector Greenhouse Gas Rule for New Sources and Existing Sources (Power Sector GHG Final Rule).ImplementationAs EGUs prepare to comply with updated regulations and monitoring requirements, RTP will discuss PM CEMS related issues from basics of installation to best practices for new and existing PM CEMS. The session will also include other monitoring options and practices associated with proposed and finalized rulemakings and emissions reporting updates.
